Halloween Candles
Okay, anyone who knows me will tell you that one of my biggest pet peeves is Halloween decorations before October!!! So, someone had better feel my head because I am just chomping at the bit to decorate for Halloween this year. I got a head start by making these hand stamped candles -- I haven't done stamped candles for years and I forgot how much fun and how super easy they are to make. I had so much fun I decided to do candle stamping as a workshop -- you can find more details HERE.

Summer Fun
Our family had a great experience this summer! We were asked by the Modesto Sister Cities program to host a Japanese student for a few weeks. We had such a great time and even though our Japanese friend did not speak much English (thank goodness for Google Translate) we seemed to communicate just fine. I hope he enjoyed the visit as much as we did! Our youngest really fell in love with him and, if you notice in the photos, by the end of the visit he was even mimicking the peace sign in all of the pictures!
